About Me

My name is Beverly and I am a professionally qualified Accredited Integrative Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor. Being integrative means I will tailor what I offer to you, the client, depending on your needs and requirements from many approaches that I have learnt. I work with individuals and couples to address the issues in their lives whether recent or relating to the past.

"We are all a product of our experience"

I am an accredited registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and I am listed on the BACP Register. This register is also accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

I work therapeutically on a range of issues, these include anxiety, depression, bereavement, history of abuse, panic-attacks, neurodiversity, relationship problems, eating disorders, stress and trauma.

My core training was focused on the person-centred (humanistic) approach to counselling. However, as my course was integrative I have also extended my knowledge to include other models. My formal counselling training to become qualified as a counsellor took five years, but the learning never stops as I regularly attend additional training and professional development groups in order to increase my knowledge and to further develop my skills as a counsellor and to improve my practice.

My qualifications:

  • TA101 Certificate in Transactional Analysis - EATA

  • Level 6 Course in Counselling Supervision

  • Level 4 CPCAB in Therapeutic Counselling

  • Certificate in Online Counselling

  • Certificate in Counselling Studies

  • Certificate in Counselling Skills

  • Award in Introduction to Counselling Skills

Sessions are currently online via FaceTime, WhatsApp or Googlemeet but face to face sessions can be arranged.

Testimonials

I’ve been seeing Beverly regularly for over 5 years, and the impact she’s had on my life has been genuinely significant. She is warm, intuitive and makes it easy to feel comfortable talking openly from the outset. Beverly has a real ability to adapt her approach to how I think, helping me see challenges (and the world) in clearer, more constructive ways. She has supported me through grief, work and life pressures and some very low points, always offering thoughtful insight and practical suggestions that actually stick. Working with Beverly has made a meaningful, positive and lasting difference to my life.

I have been working with Beverly as my Supervisor for the past six months, and the experience has been consistently positive and supportive. She is kind, fair, and highly knowledgeable, creating a space where I feel comfortable reflecting openly on my work.

What I value most is her collaborative approach. Our discussions feel like a genuine team effort, where we explore my clients’ situations from multiple perspectives. This has greatly deepened my understanding and helped me notice and reflect on aspects of the work that I might miss in the moment.

She is patient and never judgmental, which makes it easier to be honest about challenges and uncertainties. Her guidance has been both insightful and encouraging, supporting my growth and confidence in my practice.

Overall, I feel very fortunate to have her as my supervisor and truly appreciate the supportive and thoughtful environment she creates.

Anonymous Supervisee.

I’ve had 123 sessions over 3+ years with Beverly! She’s become a rock in my life, and I’ve felt supported at every stage of my growth. She’s kind, non judgemental and I feel secure and happy after speaking with her, everytime, even when we’re going through challenging work. She recommends resources and books which I find support my sessions really well, and we even worked through the chapters of one of these recommendations as guidance for our sessions for a while. She’s made the scariness of unpacking tough things more manageable and created a truly safe space for that to happen. Through her help and encouragement I have begun to overcome some of what I thought I might never do so.

It’s truly hard to put into words how much I recommend her service. I feel deeply grateful I found her. Thank you Bev.

Clinical Supervision

I offer clinical supervision for therapists using the Seven-Eyed Model, developed by Peter Hawkins and Robin Shohet. This reflective framework explores therapy from multiple perspectives, including the client’s experience, the therapeutic relationship, and the wider context of the work.

My supervision integrates both normative and formative elements supporting ethical, accountable practice while also fostering professional development, reflection, and learning. I aim to provide a collaborative and supportive space where therapists can think more deeply about their work, gain new insights, and continue to grow in their practice.
